We have our own PA System and lights all of which is PAT tested. Below is more information on each band member, also see a range of our music on our videos page.

Kev
Guitar & Vocals

Kev has been a member of the Yeovil music scene for a number of years now. In the 90’s he was involved with bands such as Snoopy, Cut ‘n Run, Once Bitten & Barking Mad. In the early 2000’s he & Geoff got together to form Crosswired which carried on for a number of years in various formats. Kev & Geoff reunited to form Bad Edukation in 2015/6 & the band has gone from strength to strength since then.

Kev’s main guitar hero is Paul Kossoff from Free & really enjoys ‘riff-based’ music, such as Thin Lizzy

Syd
Drums & Vocals

Syd has been there, done that over his many years of playing. He has been on European tours, USA tours & played with some quality musicians in his time. He & Geoff first got together in Railhogs, a 3-piece blues/rock trio which gigged hard for a couple of years, then joined Bad Edukation in 2016, initially to help out with the band having been let down at the last minute, & has stayed since. Syd’s steady & powerful drumming underpins what the band is trying to achieve. He is now adding vocals to the mix & is enjoying the brand of music the band is now producing & the direction in which it is moving. Syd also does a Tuesday night show on the local AbbeyFM station which reveals his eclectic musical tastes.

Julian
Guitar

Julian has been playing guitar since he was a teenager and could be found gigging around the live music pubs in Bath in the early 1990s. Those pubs are nearly all gone but certainly not forgotten. After a number of years off to become a responsible adult with a job etc he has returned to the world of guitar playing and has rekindled his love of classic rock from the 60s and 70s. His biggest guitar hero is Ritchie Blackmore and you’ll never find him far from a Fender Strat guitar.

Having only been with the band for a short time, Julian has had a ‘baptism of fire’ in learning & remembering all the material, but has now settled in really well & relaxing during gigs. He & Kev are beginning to develop a good rapport which bodes well for the future.

Geoff
Bass & Vocals

Geoff cut his musical teeth in the North West of England & had a significant playing gap until he settled down in Somerset. The early Crosswired was his first foray into the local music scene & the band were one of the busiest around with their brand of Classic Rock. He then joined R&B band Rhythm Room and spent a hectic couple of years chasing round lots of venues including The Cavern & O2 before teaming up with Syd in Railhogs. Every band needs a solid rhythm section & Geoff & Syd endeavour to provide that. Geoff is the band’s main vocalist.
